Short Sleeve Run-Dri Shirts
The race entry fee does not include a race shirt. Shirts may be purchased for $11 at the time of registration, and on race day (while supplies last). This option is being made because some people already have enough shirts in their closet, and they would rather have a lower entry fee compared to an event where the entry fee includes a shirt. We take our shirts very seriously and only want to offer something that runners will appreciate. We are pleased to offer short sleeve, men’s and women’s, Run-Dri Moisture System Transference Material made by Racetrackers. Runners must buy their shirt by May 15th, 2013, in order to be guaranteed the desired size on race day. Orders may be placed after this date, however sizes cannot be guaranteed – we will do our best to forecast the number of shirts needed between 5/15 and race day. Runners who purchase a shirt when they register must pick them up at one of the packet pickups and before 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Those who purchase a shirt and do not claim it may request a refund. Shirt
s will be available for sale after the race starts while supplies last. Extra shirts may be purchased for $20 on race day and they’ll be shipped directly to an address after the race. Run Dri Running Caps
A high quality micro fiber, wicking, low profile running cap with mesh panels made by Racetrackers may be purchased separately for $10. Hats are only guaranteed if ordered by 5/15/13. After this date (and on race day) hats will be for sale while supplies last.
Beer Mugs
Wash down a pint of beer after the race with one of our commemorative beer mugs. Buy one now while supplies last — they’re only $7.
USATF Course Certification (2013)
The 5k and half marathon courses has been measured by an experienced USATF measurer. However the courses will not be officially certified through USA Track & Field until 2013. Runners can be sure that the distances are accurate.
Deferral Policy
If you cannot attend the race for any reason you may request a deferral of your base entry fee and merchandise purchases (not including online processing fees) to the next year. You must send an email to [email protected]
by 6:00 PM (EST) on Friday 6/7/13 to request a deferral. Your name will be removed from the public participants list when the deferral is processed. Later, after registration for the 2014 event has been opened, you will receive an email with a unique promotional code. You will then need to register online for the 2014 event and submit the promotional code. A $5 administrative fee will be applied through a reduction in the value of the promotional code.
Cancellation Policy
Although rare sometimes races must be cancelled due to unexpected unsafe race conditions – i.e. Hurricane Irene 8/28/11 and Sandy 10/30/12. If there is an event due to an Act Of God — i.e. hurricane, dangerously high heat index >105, or a state of emergency is declared by municipal authorities – the race will be cancelled. If the race is cancelled due to an Act Of God it will not be postponed and no refunds will be given.
Bib Transfers and Substitutes
Another person cannot run with your bib under your name.
